I have stayed at plenty of hotels in Los Angeles, but the majority of the time it was for a day or two at most. This past month I had an opportunity to experience hotel living for almost a week thanks to the SLS Beverly Hills. I cannot exclaim to you how incredible my stay was. I will get into the details about the hotel itself later, but first I want to discuss the shoots I was involved in at Siren Studios, and share with you how honored I feel to have experienced this phantasmagorical week.
In the photography world, there are two big studios in LA that are known to be the most legit to shoot at, one being Milk studios and the latter being Siren studios. Both are incredible and both have the industry's big leagues just roaming around the place. I was secretly hoping Leo would walk around the corner and he would just automatically know he should be my future baby daddy. That did not happen unfortunately, but I did get to shoot with a legend of a photographer, Dorian Caster, and filmed a video with an incredible director. I had the greatest glam squad; Susie Lee (make-up) and Marco Campos (hair) and my lovely Yvette styling me. This was a completely different experience than just my everyday outfit post, this was a huge honor to have such an incredible team working hard to make sure everything went seamlessly that day. Oh and can I just mention I felt the prettiest I have ever felt!?
Let's journey back to the hotel. Actually, let's get more specific. My room, room 725, and its luxurious king bed, was as perfect as can be. This room just makes you feel sexy. Mirrors are in every possible corner. There is even a mirror in your shower! The customer service at the hotel was amazing. This lovely lady named Neda at the front desk was an ultimate gem and sent me champagne and chocolates to welcome me to my room and even sent me on my merry way to the spa for a massage. Lola at the spa was a magician on my tense back. I have been to plenty of spas but never have I wanted to return to the same masseuse until I met Lola. Absolute perfection.
The food at this hotel is to die for. If you are a foodie and appreciate a nice presentation of delightful foods, then you must go to the Bazaar by chef Jose Andres. The food is impeccable, the ambiance is perfect, the champagne is flowing and the desserts are out of this world. If you feel like dropping a few bucks and having a good night with your friends, then I highly recommend you add this to your list of restaurants you should go to.
Overall, this whole experience was surreal. I was surrounded by incredible people, had great customer service at the hotel and I had a cute date that week too, so that was an added bonus to this equation of fabulousness :)
Hope you all enjoyed my travel bit.
