How To Dress Up Jeans at the Office

Wearing jeans to work can be quite taboo if it is not a Friday, but if you work in an industry that accepts a “dressy jean” look, then I have the perfect outfit for you. When companies allow you to wear jeans at work, it usually does not mean that you get to look like a slob with flip flops and a graphic tee, they are probably hoping you still realize you are coming into a work setting rather than looking like you are grocery shopping on a Sunday morning.

I try to detract the attention from the jeans by pairing them with a blazer, statement necklace and sassy pumps. As you may have seen in my previous posts (here is one of them), I absolutely love my Valentino Rockstud pumps. These shoes are the most comfortable heels I own and they make the perfect day to night transition for any outfit. The heel height is not extremely high so you don’t come to work looking sleazy but it is high enough to give you a little oomph in your step. I am petite, so I thoroughly enjoy a sexy pump that will give me the height I want and the comfort!

Since I opted for a gold chain statement necklace, I kept the rest of my outfit solid with a black top, black blazer and dark blue denim. The greatest part about this outfit is how affordable my jeans are. I used to splurge on all of my jeans, but I started to realize I can get the same look for less from stores like H&M, Zara or Forever 21. My big splurge for this outfit was the shoes, but the rest of the outfit was definitely affordable.

I pulled some similar items for you all to shop through! Hope you like them!
