Where Fashion Meets Art

London Fashion Week is coming to a close and next on the radar is Milan Fashion Week. I wish so much that I could attend these international shows, but I believe I attained some good insight attending the glamorous NYFW. One trend I noticed that has had a lot of longevity since we saw it on the runway last Spring 2013, are black and white outfits. These colors paired together are timeless, effortless and extremely chic. I would tell you this whether I saw it on the runway or not! Mark my words, these colors are not going anywhere and are never leaving my closet. They are the ultimate color combo in the corporate world and I will boast about them all day, everyday.

In this outfit I am wearing these amazingly comfortable matte black rockstud Valentino pumps (a must have), funnel neck turtleneck I got at Zara, a white tweed blazer with zipper accents and my most favorite high-waisted ruffle top trousers I got from Celestine SF. I shop on their online site quite often to get some of the cutest styles that they ship in internationally. The one thing I noticed is that their online site is rather popular so if you love something you should definitely get it right away so that they do not sell out. These lovely trousers have sold out online, BUT I called in a favor to the owners and they can custom order some for you from their stores in San Francisco if you mention the blog.

Now the ultimate question: where can I wear this outfit? This outfit is extremely versatile and can be worn to an interview, a meeting, a presentation, a family party and if you ditch the blazer you can wear it to happy hour. I do have a confession, I even wore this outfit on a date sans the blazer with this babe attorney guy. I wanted to look cute and conservative, so I rocked the life out of this funnel neck.

I hope you are as big of a fan as art as I am and can appreciate that that this outfit post was shot at the beautiful Noiguchi art garden instillation in Costa Mesa, CA. This place is serene and peaceful, so I highly suggest you check it out the next time you are in Orange County.
