Journey with Javvy: The Sexy Side to Barcelona - W Hotel, Cera 23, the Beach and Aire de Barcelona

Just saying you are going to visit Barcelona sounds like a sexy idea, and really it is. Barcelona can be romantic, it can be a foodie lovers trip and it can be wild. There truly is so much to do and I am going to suggest a few of my favorite things I did while I was on my trip!

Where to Stay?

Upscale: W Barcelona- This will be the most divine stay of your life. The view of the city and the ocean is unreal. You honestly have a great view in every single room on their property. Go to the pool outside for some cava and champagne. The hotel decor, the room itself and the ambiance is unbelievable and the service is top notch. W Hotels truly never disappoints and I can hands down say that this is my favorite property of theirs. It will be hard for you to leave this hotel because the restaurants and bars on site are pretty amazing!

On a budget: Four Points Sheraton- located in a smaller version of the Las Ramblas. A very clean and modern hotel! You can rent bikes for 16 euros a day! Not that far from the beach! The area has a ton of locals so it feels nice to walk around and feel like you are immersed in Catalonian culture.

Where to Eat?

Affordable: El Cascal- Great bites and good prices. Wonderful service.

Mid-Priced INSIDER TIP: Cera 23 or Arume are two amazing sister restaurants that have a Michelin star rated chef in the house. They are both off the beaten path but extremely worth it for their service and their incredible food. 5 Stars!

Fanciful: If you want fancy multiple course dinners, try Restaurant Montiel or Moo at Hotel Ohm!  Attention you EXTRA fancy pants people, you should go to Restaurant Hofmann. Also, any restaurant at the W Hotel is also going to be a winner in this category! INSIDER TIP: Also try Tickets Tapas if you can get in!

Where to drink/party? I have divided these up by the type of spots they are below.

Wet Bar at the W Hotel- The view as mentioned above is bar none delectable. The crowd is also very chic and it doesn't hurt that it is poolside.

Old Fashioned Gin and Tonic Bar- exactly like its name!

Vinoteca Torres is a great wine bar.

El Bosc de las Fades is a trendy bar.

Le Noire is a trendy lounge

Opium Nighclub (for you hardcore ragers)

Detox and Relax:

INSIDER TIP: Thanks to a good friend's recommendation (Rameneh), my boyfriend and I booked a couples massage at Aire de Barcelona (around 180 euros and should have honestly costed more). This experience was the most beautiful, romantic and sexy part of our trip. Aire de Barcelona is an underground Turkish bath house. You are greeted by a host who will take you to your locker room and then will bring you to your masseuse. After you are done with your massage they will bring you to the different temperature baths for you to dip in and get your blood circulation going. They also bring you fresh smoothies and fruit kabobs. We booked the midnight block on our last night so we can detox and relax before our early morning flight. This was an unforgettable part of the trip and I highly recommend it to you to do with friends or with a significant other.

If you are looking for more tourist things to do, I have that all in this POST!

Hope you enjoyed my Barcelona travel tips!
