Black and white together epitomize corporate America. They seem boring and typical in the workplace. The way you can shake things up a bit is by buying your black and white staple pieces with a cool unique spin to them, such as this A-line, almost lampshade-like skirt. I feel like a lady in a ball gown in this skirt. Just imagine yourself spinning in circles repeatedly just so you can see the way this skirt flows. Yes, I did such a silly thing and you can blame it on my second Starby's coffee I have had today. Sorry I am not sorry.
Another unique twist to this outfit are my ankle strap Sam Edelman pumps. These shoes have gold studs on them and are ridiculously comfortable. I could wear them for hours at work and survive after work drinks in them as well. It also doesn't hurt that they are a mixture of cute and sexy!
I am also wearing my favorite Equipment white button up shirt. This is a must-have piece in every corporate girls wardrobe. Their shirts are a little on the pricier end, but I promise you, the fit and feel of their shirts are magical. You will never go wrong buying any of their tops.
This business chic type of look would be best for a client meeting or presentation. If you added a blazer and lost the black wrap around sweater you may be able to swing this look for an interview as well!
I listed the rest of my outfit details below! Good luck and do your best to enjoy your first day back from the Holiday!
